The Prophet [s] said:
None of you should say, ‘O Allah, forgive me if You wish, (or) O Allah, have mercy on me if you wish.’ Rather you should be firm in your request, for (Allah does whatever He wishes) and no one can force Him to do otherwise.
(Narrated by Abu Hurairah)
So when someone says “May Allah [swt] do such-and-such”, do not say “Insha-Allah”; say “Ameen”.

Luqman (r.a) said:
“If you’re in prayer, take care of your heart, if you’re eating, take care of your throat, if you’re in another man’s house, take care of your eyes, if you are among people, take care of your tongue. Remember two matters and forget two matters: remember Allah and remember death, forget any good that you have done to another and any evil that was done to you by another”.
On the authority of Abu Malik Al-Harith bin Asim Al-Ashari said that the messenger of Allah said:
“Purity is half of faith. Alhamdulillah [Praise be to Allah] fills the scales, and subhanAllah [How far is Allah from every imperfection] and Alhamdulillah [Praise be to Allah] fill that which is between heaven and earth. Prayer is light; charity is a proof; patience is illumination; and the Quran is an argument for or against you. Everyone starts his day and is a vendor of his soul, either freeing it or bringing about its ruin.”

Abu Umama Suda ibn ‘Ajlan al-Bahili reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said “The person closer to Allah is the one who initiates the greeting.” [Abu Dawud]
Really now, how difficult is it to say “Assalamu alaikum.” and even when you’re emailing somebody, it takes less than two seconds two type, I know because I’ve counted the seconds.
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa abarakatuh!

Al-Bara’ (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, ”Two Muslims will not meet and shake hands without having their sins forgiven (by Allah ) before they depart.”
[Abu Dawud].

Never do I argue with a man with a desire to hear him say what is wrong, or to expose him and win victory over him. Whenever I face an opponent in debate I silently pray - O Lord, help him so that truth may flow from his heart and on his tongue, and so that if truth is on my side, he may follow me; and if truth be on his side, I may follow him. - (Imam Al-Shafi’i)

Often our ego gets to us and we say its because we’re stubborn. Why is it that even in the midst of an argument when we realize we were wrong, we still continue to argue. Why is it so difficult for some of us to say “I was wrong”… we need to just learn to suck it up, and admit when we’re wrong. Arguments without reasoning gets you nowhere.
Peace + Love.

What should you do when you get Angry?
(1) The first medicine of knowledge is to think over the rewards of
appeasing anger, that have come from the verses of the Quran and the
sayings of the Prophet (pbuh). Your hope for getting rewards of
appeasing anger will restrain you from taking revenge.
(2) The second kind of medicine based on knowledge is to fear the
punishment of God and to think that the punishment of God upon me is
greater than my punishment upon him. If I take revenge upon this man
for anger, God will take revenge upon me on the Judgement Day.
(3) The third kind of medicine of anger based on knowledge is to take
precaution about punishment of enmity and revenge on himself. You
feel joy in having your enemy in your presence in his sorrows, You
yourself are not free from that danger. You will fear that your enemy
might take revenge against you in this world and in the next.
(4) Another kind of medicine based on knowledge is to think about the
ugly face of the angry man, which is just like that of the ferocious
beast. He who appeases anger looks like a sober and learned man.
(5) The fifth kind of medicine based on knowledge is to think that the
devil will advise by saying: ” You will be weak if you do not get
angry!” Do not listen to him!
(6) The sixth reason is to think: ” What reason have I got to get
angry? What Allah wishes has occurred!”

“Meet people in such a manner that if you die they weep over you and if you are alive they yearn for your company.”

For any trouble, illness, worry, grief, hurt or sorrow which afflicts a Muslim, even the pricking of a thorn, Allah (subhana wa ta ala) removes in its stead some of his sins.
(Bukhari and Muslim)
